Event data |
Name: West Yorkshire Chess Association - Tournament 3 |
Place: Leeds |
Start date: 26 May 1866 |
End date: 26 May 1866 |
|
Notes: |
An 8-player knockout, which I presume to have been for a single game in each pairing, as all games were played in a single day. The report in the Illustrated London News says that in the last round Robinson and Finlinson 'divided' which might mean that they shared the prize because they did not play their game or else because they drew their game. I will not record a result for this final pairing, without positive evidence that a game was played. |
