Notes: |
The number of games is not specified in Le Palamède, but it is stated there that they won an equal number of games. In Bell's Life in London (25 Dec. 1836) it is stated that it was a match of 12 games, the result being +6-6. Di Felice gives the result as +2-1 for Boncourt, but that accounts only for the 3 games actually published (in Le Palamède). Barcza says that Szen was slightly ahead. |
