| Mouret played these games as operator of the Turk. Hunneman's book (1820) claims only that the games he published are a selection. Two wins by the Turk are recorded against Hubbard. However, the Spirit of the Times (21 Feb. 1846) has a win by Hubbard against the Turk (receiving Pawn and Move odds still). I am guessing that +2-1 for the Turk is a representative score, though this may be incorrect. |
