| Staunton says in the Chess Player's Chronicle (1846, vol.7, p.132) that these games were played during B.G.'s 'recent sojourn at Paris' and so presumably sometime during the first 4 months of 1846. He also says (Chess Player's Chronicle, 1847, vol.8, p.378) that these two games were the last played by Deschapelles before his death. |
