Part of a match in which Mackenzie gave odds of Pawn and Two Moves and a Knight alternately, the combined score being +4-1=1 for Mackenzie, and the other part being listed separately here. From the information given by van Winsen in Mackenzie, Mason and Co., Part I, it can be deduced that games 1,3,4 and 6 were played at odds of Pawn and Two Moves, game 3 being a draw, while games 2 and 5 were played at odds of a Knight. It is not clear whether Mackenzie's loss was game 4 or 5, but for rating purposes, only the total scores matter. |
