| Van Winsen's biography of Mason dates this match to Feb. 1875, but in volume VII of Mackenzie, Mason and Co. (p.111) he says that Delmar's visit to Philadelphia 'was in the latter part of January'. The result appears in the Feb. 1875 issue of the Maryland Chess Review and the 6 Feb. 1875 issue of the Hartford Weekly Times (in both cases combined with the result of offhand games). |
