| The result is given in the Albion of 9 Mar. 1850. According to L&omul;wenthal (in Fiske, p.391), Thompson was present when Turner came to New York to play Löwenthal. Turner and Löwenthal left New York on 3 Mar. 1850, so I guess that this match took place in Feb. 1850. |
