End date: Apr. 1865 |

Notes: |
The match was for the first to win 11 games, but was broken off before being finished. Staunton, in the Chess World (Apr. 1865, vol.1, p.160), says that it finished at a score of +8-4=1 for Green, but Löwenthal, in the Era (9 Apr. 1865, p.6), gives a score to date of +8-4=2. I will guess that the latter was the final score. |
