| Geert Van der Wulp, who sent me this result from Shakmatniy Listok (Jan. 1861, p.5), says it took place between May 1860, when Kolisch arrived in England, and Aug. 1860. It also mentions that Kolisch had previously a record of +2-5 against Saburov, but does not indicate when or at what odds. It may have been that these other games were played informally before their main match, but it could also have been that they were played in earlier years elsewhere. The Aug. 1860 issue of La (Nouvelle) Régence (p.253) gives only the result of +6-0=0 for Kolisch. The 22 July 1860 issue of the Era (p.6), however, says that in additional games played between them after the match, Kolisch only won 1 to Saburov's 4, presumably still at Knight odds.
