Notes: |
According to D.W. Fiske (in The First American Chess Congress, p.505), Morphy played 'over fifty parties' vs. Rousseau in 1849 and 1850, winning 'fully nine-tenths'. I have assumed fifty games, with score 45-5, but split between the two years. I have arbitrarily assigned 20 games to 1849 and thirty to 1850, with the same proportion of wins each year. |
