| The Era of 25 May 1862 (p.5) gives a partial result of +4-3=2 for Löwenthal. The 1 June 1862 issue (p.5) says neither have had time to continue the match. The 26 Oct. 1862 issue (p.14) says that the match 'will shortly be resumed'. The issue of 16 Nov. 1862 (p.14) says that only one game has been played, a draw (though it says 'S. Green', I believe it should be 'V. Green'). So I take the score to that point to be +4-3=3 for Löwenthal. |
