| Feenstra Kuiper and Di Felice have this match under 1918. Urcan, however, dates it to 1912. The Deutsche Schachzeitung of Dec. 1917 (p.283) says that these two games were played in early Dec. 1917. The Deutsche Schachzeitung of Feb. 1918 (pp.36-37) has a game dated 7 Dec. 1917 (see Winter's Chess Notes article). I am guessing that all these sources are referring to the same event with incorrect dates, and that there were not multiple events with the same result in different years. |
