| This result comes from Reichhelm's column in the 9 Sept. 1870 issue of the Daily Evening Bulletin, quoted by van Winsen, so I will guess that it ended in September, though it may have been earlier. The report says that they played 27 games and that Mackenzie 'scored thirteen'; it does not specify the result of the other 14 games, but I will guess that these were all wins for Delmar, as Reichhelm would likely have mentioned it if Delmar won less than half (van Winsen makes the point that Reichhelm had a grudge against Delmar at this time). |
