| The 27 Dec. 1857 issue of the Era (p.14) reports a match victory by Urusov over Shumov by 3 games. Could Wade, Feenstra Kuiper and Di Felice all have the year wrong, or was this a different match? The Schachzeitung of Jan. 1858 (p.21) says that in 21 games Urusov won 2 more games than Shumov. |
