| Dubois says he played two games at the odds of a Knight and won them. He also says he played several games even against Ciccolini but gives no result for these. In the account by Dubois, he gives results more or less by year, with headings for each year. The last heading before he discusses this result was for 1849, though the heading was quite far back, and the next heading is 1852-53, so these games could have been played in 1849 or 1850 or 1851. Zavatarelli (personal communication) tells me he found several games between Dubois and Ciccolini dated 1850-1851, so I will guess at 1850. |
