| Notes: |
| This is a soft result. Dubois says that the battles between Luchini and Filiberti were fought with varying fortune ('con varia fortuna') but perhaps victory smiled more often on Filiberti. I take this to mean a slight advantage, and represent it as 3.5-2.5 for Filiberti, so as to be more than equal but less than a ratio of 2-1. This appears in the early part of the reminiscences of Dubois, who started attending the chess cafés in 1837, so I will attribute this result to that year. |
