| Spinrad gives the year as 1838 in some places, but points out that the Chess Player's Chronicle (1847) says Szén's visit was in 'the spring of 1839', and gives an exact date of 17 Apr. 1839 for Szén's games against von der Lasa and Mayet on this visit. I therefore assume a date of Apr. 1839. Sarah gives 1838. The Schachzeitung of Mar. 1852 (p.70) give sthe result as 2-0 for Bledow; the other sources give the result as 1-1. |
