| Spinrad gives +5-0=2 for Morphy; Lawson and Sarah's Morphy website give 7-2 and gives dates between 20 and 24 Apr. 1859. Löwenthal says in the Era of 8 May 1859 (p.14) that 'out of the last nine games played he [Morphy] lost but two', and the Chess Monthly of Aug. 1859 (p.263) gives an explicit score of +7-2 for Morphy. |
