Event table notes

Event data
Place: Philadelphia
Start date: 1 Nov. 1859
End date: 1 Nov. 1859
Spinrad gives 2-0 for Morphy at Pawn and Move odds, 5 Nov. 1859 (though he is confusing about which result this date goes with here); but Reichhelm and Lawson say 2-0 at Pawn and Two Moves, which I take to be correct. Sarah's Morphy website and Kingston (citing Lawson) also give 2-0 at Pawn and Two Moves. Lawson gives the date as 1 Nov. 1859. Kingston gives 2 Nov. 1859, but referring to Lawson. Löwenthal gives 2-0 for Morphy at Pawn and Two Moves in the Era of 4 Dec. 1859 (p.13) but then in the 18 Dec. 1859 issue, he gives the odds as 'P against two moves'. He says these games were played in Philadelphia, after his departure from New York on 1 Nov. 1859.
