| Lawson only says that Morphy 'met successfully at Knight odds' Walters amongst other players. Similarly, Löwenthal only says that 'Waters' was beaten by Morphy at Knight odds. I assume this was a single game, as with Morphy's other opponents on this occasion. Löwenthal in the Era of 25 Dec. 1859 (p.5) gives the date as 25 Nov. 1859, but Lawson says it was 18 Nov. 1859. |
