| Di Felice gives 3-1 for Bellotti in 1862, but La Grande Storia degli Scacchi gives 3-1 for Bellotti in 1859. Dubois, in a letter dated April 1861, in Eco della Scienza, dell'Industria e del Commercio in 1864, says Bellotti won 3-1. Dubois, in the Era of 7 June 1863 (p.14) gives 2-1 for Bellotti in May 1862. A translation appeared on p.162 of the June 1863 isssue of La Nouvelle Régence and on p.185 of that issue, de Rivière states that he played only 3 games with Bellotti and that they were played by the Italian rules. The same statement appears in the Era of 14 June 1863 (p.7). However, Sissa printed all 4 games in 1865 (pp.48-53) and says they took place on 10 May 1862. |
