Place: Paris |
Start date: Apr. 1860 |
End date: Apr. 1860 |
|
Notes: |
Most sources give the result as +5-5=1, but Barcza makes a case for +5-4=1 for Kolisch (citing Bachmann). Journoud says in the Apr. 1860 issue of La Régence (see Cornil), that Anderssen would arrive in Paris 3 Apr. and in the May 1860 issue he gives the final score, so the match must have taken place entirely in the month of April. |
