The March 1860 issue of the Chess Player's Chronicle announces that the match has been organized. The May 1860 issue says that the match finished since the publication of the previous issue, so I presume it finished in Apr. 1860. Harrwitz gave Mongredien a 3 point handicap, so the official score was +7-3=1 for Harrwitz. |
