| These games were among the offhand games whose results Neumann recorded for the period 22-11-1864 to 23-12-1864. Renette and Zavatarelli say that these games were played blindfold by Neumann, and they cite the Neue Berliner Schachzeitung of Dec. 1864. However, the report in the Neue Berliner Schachzeitung does not indicate that they were played blindfold, while it does indicate that some of the games against von Weiss and against Raths were played blindfod. Thus, I include these games against Mayet for rating. |
