| The 7 Oct. 1860 issue of the Era (p.5) makes it clear that this second match between Kolisch and Maude was half at Knight odds and half even, Kolisch getting +4-0 for the even games and +1-3 for the Knight odds games, for a total of +5-3. The Oct. 1860 issue of the Chess Player's Chronicle, and the Dec. 1860 issue of La (Nouvelle) Régence describe the alternating odds and give the final score of +5-3. |
