| The 19 Oct. 1862 issue of the Era (p.14) gives the result to date of +3-3=1. The 26 Oct. 1862 issue (p.14) says the match was for the first to win 4 games, and that MacDonnell had won the last game. I presume the result was then +4-3=1 for MacDonnell. |
