Notes:
Bell's Life in London (7 May 1843, p.4) gives a total of +52-43=12 for Walker against Cochrane over the duration of Cochrane's stay in London. It also says that the games started at Christmas 1841 and were distributed fairly evenly over the whole period from then until Cochrane's departure in April 1843. Partial scores are given for the last 13 games (+4-7=2 for Walker) and the last 48 games (+24-19=5 for Walker), though the latter implies that the score for the first 59 games was +28-24=7, which is not quite consistent with a score given in Le Palamède (15 May 1842, p.285) for the first 56 games (+29-21=6 for Walker) up to about April 1842. I will assign the result of the last 13 games to 1843 and guess that the first 94 games took place from Christmas 1841 to the end of 1842, and assign them to 1842 (with result +48-36=10 for Walker).
