Notes: |
Spinrad says The Chicago Tribune of 19 May 1890 announced the start and finish of the match, and the Aug. 1891 issue of the British Chess Magazine gives the date as May 1890, but Hilbert says it took place in June 1890, and Davies says May-June 1890. The Brooklyn Daily Eagle of 20 Oct. 1895 (p.5) gives the score as 7-4 for Judd and gives the year as 1889. |
