| The only reference I have that has the initial 'E' is Ranneforth's Schach-Kalendar 1925 (p.298), which shows E. Becker in the Leipzig 1923 tournament. In the Deutsche Schachzeitung of Apr. 1923 (p.79), the crosstable for Leipzig 1923 has 'Becker (Magdeburg)'. There is some possibility that E. Becker is a misprint for F. Becker (i.e. Friedrich), but he is usually listed as 'Becker (Stützerbach)', a different town. |
