| Gaige has 'Ulrich, Heinz' in Chess Personalia (p.436) and Di Felice has 'Ullrich, Heinz' at Bad Saarow 1935 and Bad Elster 1937. Feenstra Kuiper has just 'Ullrich' at both of these events. The 1935 Deutsche Schachzeitung (p.290) has 'B. Ullrich' at Bad Saarow 1935. The Bad Elster 1937 tournament book has 'Herbert Ullrich' (this information sent to me by Alan McGowan); the 1937 Deustsche Schachzeitung has 'Herbert Ulrich' on p.101, but 'H. Ullrich' on p.163 and 'Herbert Ullrich' on p.164 as Dresden champion, and the 1937 Deutsche Schachblätter has 'H. Ullrich' (p.141), 'Herbert Ullrich' (p.172), and at Bad Elster 1937, it has 'Ullrich' of Dresden (p.176). So this was Herbert Ullrich, not Heinz Ulrich, at Bad Elster 1937. |
