Notes:
Staunton (The Chess Tournament, p.lix) has an R. Craske of Bury St. Edmonds as a subscriber of the Great Tournament of 1851. He also gives a win by Craske over Anderssen (giving knight odds) in London in 1851 (Illustrated London News, 31 Jan. 1851, p.99; Chess Player's Chronicle, Feb. 1852, p.55). The Westminster Papers of 1 Dec. 1873 (p.153) has 'Caske'.
