| Gaige has a Morris Lissner, 1843-1912, and a Solomon Lissner, 1847-1905, both died in USA? Hilbert gives a correspondence game by an 'M. Lissner, the Manhattan problem composer' in 1896-7? Also, in his book on Napier, he has correspondence games of Morris Lissner from 1897 (p.78) and 1898 (p.84). However, van Winsen lists a B. Lissner and a J. Lissner in New York events from 1869 to 1875, so this is more likely one of those two, but which one is not clear. |
