Spinrad identifies him as 'John H. Sweet'. (See also http://www.ouaisne.co.uk/famtree/75.htm). Staunton gives his full name as composer of a problem in the 8 Mar. 1851 Illustrated London News (p.196), and gives his title 'Rev.' in the 8 Dec. 1849 issue (p.379).
