Biographical data
Name: Tereshchenko, Nikolay Semenovich
Born: 10 Feb. 1871
Died: 4 Mar. 1938

Notes:
Gaige (Chess Personalia) has 'Tereshchenko, Nikolay Semenovich'; Di Felice has 'Tereshchenko, Nikolay Semyonovich'. In Chess Tournament Crosstables, his name is given variously as 'Tereschchenko', 'Tereshchenko', 'Terestschenko' and 'de Terestchenko'. In Chess Personalia, Gaige gives his date of death as 1919; chessgames.com gives his date of death as 4 Mar. 1938. Since he seems to have played at Hyères in 1928, the latter seems more plausible.
