Biographical data
Name: Beamish, Edmund Arthur
Also known as: Capt. Edmund Arthur Beamish
Born: 1880
Died: 13 Oct. 1946

Notes:
Gaige has 'A. Beamish' and Di Felice has 'A.E. Beamish', but Richard James in his article at British Chess News makes a convincing case that it was Edmund Arthur Beamish who played chess, and not his brother Alfred Ernest Beamish, who was a tennis player. Confusingly, both brothers preferred to use their middle name!
