Steve Mann has 'G I Gresham', apparently from the Sheffield and Rotherham Independent of 22 Dec. 1883. Land and Water (22 Dec. 1883) has 'G.J. Gresham'. There was a player named 'W. Gresham' who visited Lincoln for its anniversary meeting in 1853 (see British Chess Review, 1853, p.91). Could this be the same person?
