| The report in the British Chess Magazine (Sep. 1891, p.406) says that Welsh 'resigned', i.e. withdrew, but it is not clear how many games he lost by default. He certainly won against Miss Rawnsley and drew W.E. Hill. I have included all his losses as genuine losses, without specific information to the contrary. Also, E. Rowley Harvey withdrew, and no scores are reported for him. |
