Notes: |
8-player knockout tournament. Single-game rounds. Gaige indicates that Gehrckens 'had a bye' in the first round. Di Felice indicates that he was paired with 'Schunck, Hein' but again says that he 'had a bye', meaning I suppose that Schunck withdrew without playing. La Grande Storia degli Scacchi indicates that Gehrckens beat 'Schunck, Heinrich' in the 1st round. Feenstra Kuiper says only that Lange scored 3 points and gives a list of players, including a Reibnitz, but omitting May, von Rothschild, Gehrckens and Schunck. Some of these players, however, including Reibnitz, were in the second tournament or the third. |
