| The report in the Leeds Mercury of 31 May 1870 (p.7) says that some of the games in some of the tournaments were played out after the day of the meeting (21 May) in Leeds, Wakefield and Huddersfield. It is not clear to which of the five tournaments this applies, though it is likely to apply to this one, which had three rounds instead of two, as some of the others did. |
