Event data |
Name: Manhattan Chess Club - Brooklyn Chess Club Match |
Place: New York |
Start date: 14 Nov. 1914 |
End date: 14 Nov. 1914 |
|
Notes: |
The game Beihoff - White was unfinished on the day of the event. At first, in the Brooklyn Daily Eagle's original report of 16 Nov. 1914, it was stated that the game would be played off later in the week, then the 19 Nov. 1914 issue says that the game was 'in the hands of William T. Ryan... for adjudication'. In the 10 Dec. 1914 issue of the Brooklyn Daily Eagle (p.3 of the last section), the final score is given as 10-6 for Manhattan, which means that White was given the win, by one means or another. |
