| The Leeds Mercury of 24 Apr. 1886 (p.7) says that the final between Dyson and Barton was not yet finished. The British Chess Magazine of May 1886 (p.209) says that Dyson beat Barton. It is not clear whether they scored a draw before Dyson won, or when the final game was finished. |
