Rev. B.G. Fox withdrew after losing his first two games against Rev. C.E. Fox and O.C. Pleasants. Di Felice shows as unplayed the games Barnes - C. Fox and Buckett - Mara, but the Evening Post (Wellington) of 8 Jan. 1915 (p.4) describes the Barnes - C. Fox game (won by Fox), and the Evening Post (Wellington) of 5 Jan. 1915 (p.4) describes the Buckett - Mara game (a draw). Apart from B.G. Fox's forfeits of all but two games, all games were played. |
