Event table notes

Event data
Name: Berliner Schachgesellschaft Tournament
Place: Berlin
Start date: Feb. 1866
End date: Dec. 1866

Notes:
This was an 11-player double-round all-play-all. Renette and Zavatarelli do not give the full crosstable, but say that Neumann won all his games, which presumably means that he scored 2-0 against all his 10 opponents. I record here only the results of the pairings for which I know the score. The tournament began in February, but dragged on through the year. Renette and Zavatarelli give a game from this event dated 23 Nov. 1866, and say that the final result was only announced in the Jan. 1867 issue of the Neue Berliner Schachzeitung.
