Notes:
This was a handicap tournament, probably a 12-player, double-round all-play-all, judging by the scores. El Sport of 16 Dec. 1886 gives the player categories. There were 4 categories but the first was divided into two classes, Golmayo, Vazquez, and Carvajal in the first class, and Medina in the second class of the first category. Then it gives the odds sequence as Pawn and Move, Pawn and Two Moves, Knight, and Rook. It seems clear that category 1a must have given category 4 odds of the Rook since they are essentially 4 categories apart, if we interpret the two classes of category 1 to be separate categories. I am guessing that we can make this assumption throughout, so that Medina would have given category 4 odds of a Knight, etc.
