| Dates uncertain, but as part of the 2nd British Chess Association Congress, it probably started in July, and since final scores are reported in the Sept. issue of the British Chess Magazine, I am guessing that it finished in August. The identity of the 'Smith' in this tournament is uncertain, but S.F. Smith played in the Amateur Championship at the same Congress, so I am assuming he also played in this event, though this is far from certain. |
