Notes: |
Odds classes between 'Class A' and Rook class not clearly identified. I interpret Reichhelm's headings to indicate that Class A gave Pawn and Move to the second group, Pawn and Two Moves to the third group (only J.P. Morgan), though it could be Knight odds, and Rook to the fourth group. It is also not clear what odds pertained between these other classes. I assume that the second group gave Pawn and Move to the third and Pawn and Two Moves to the fourth, and that the third gave Pawn and Move to the fourth. Dates are uncertain but the British Chess Magazine gives the prizewinners in the Aug.-Sept. 1886 issue, so it must have finished by then. |
