Event table notes

Event data
Name: 1st New Orleans Chess, Checkers and Whist Club Tournament
Place: New Orleans
Start date: 21 Aug. 1880
End date: 1 Feb. 1881

Notes:
This was an 8-player, double-round, all-play-all tournament, but no players completed all their games, and some less than half. We are only given the final scores for Seguin and Wibray, who won the first two prizes. Seguin played 10 games, Wibray 12. I am guessing that the bottom 4 players defaulted to Seguin and the bottom 2 to Wibray. This may not be exactly right, but the resulting error for rating purposes should be slight.
