| Gaige calls this the '11th Schleswig Chess Union Congress' but this is a misreading for 'Schlesien', the German name of Silesia. Di Felice corrects the name to '11th Silesian Chess Federation'. Di Felice has 'Bergmann, Otto Wladislau Albert', 'Kraemer, Adolf', 'Thelen, Bedrich' in this event. Gaige has 'W. Bergmann'. Ralf Binnewirtz, in the Quarterly for Chess History, clarifies that it was Adolf Kramer of Wroclaw, not Adolf Kraemer, the German problematist. Henryk Konaszczuk clarifies that it was Dr. Hermann Thelen here, not Bedřich Thelen. |
