Event table notes

Event data
Name: 5th British Chess Association Tournament
Place: London
Start date: 7 Nov. 1889
End date: 19 Nov. 1889

Notes:
Feenstra Kuiper gives only total scores, which are consistent with the crosstable of Gaige and Di Felice except that he gives Lee 5.5 points instead of 5, and van Vliet 4.5 points instead of 5. Sergeant scores the Lee-van Vliet game as a win for Lee and a draw for van Vliet, making Lee's total 5.5. This is clearly an error and should be a draw, giving Lee's total as 5.
