Notes: |
Partial results available. Yanofsky and Wright give only the top 4 total scores, wins and losses. These are consistent with a 7 player double-round all-play-all tournament. In the Quebec Morning Herald of 5 Apr. 1893 (p.4), 9 players are listed at the start, but perhaps two dropped out. We have results of games of 7 of the players (J.E. Narraway, W. Chalk, A.T. Davison, C.P. Champion, E. Pope, E.E. Welch, and H.S. Thomson), but none for the other two (A. Robertson and H. Ievers), so it is likely that these last two dropped out. Davison and Pope played off for second place. Play-offs were for 2 wins, but since no score for the play-off is given, only the fact that Davison won, I will record it as a soft result of 1-0 for Davison. |
